The International Ice Hockey Federation are launching the IIHF Esports Fan Championship on 15th May in co-operation with Infront Sports & Media and eSport Studio.
Fans from the 16 nations that were qualified for the 2020 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship will be given the chance to represent their country in the digital tournament.
For this purpose, a special IIHF esports web portal will be launched on Friday 8th May.
Games will be played in EA SPORTS™ NHL™ 20 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, enabling all participants to compete from home.
