Coventry Blaze U20s have won the 2018 Ice Hockey UK Under-20 National Final with a 4-0 shutout of Fife Falcons at the Bauer Arena in Ice Sheffield.

The two sides had also contested last year’s final with Fife winning 2-0 back in 2017.

Jekabs Bisnieks gave Coventry an early lead (1:42) while Daniel Mulcahy stick-handled through the zone and finished five-hole (16:58).

Austin Mitchell-King netted from close range in the second period (35:45) to ensure Coventry led 3-0 at the second intermission.

Kyle Nash scored on the doorstep on the powerplay (51:01) to wrap up a convincing victory for the English champions.

Saturday’s U20 final was part of the EIHA’s Junior Finals weekend which features U11 to U18 sides from across the country playing for the respective national championship in each age group.
