Ice Hockey UK has joined with other ice hockey federations from across Europe, sending a letter to the IIHF asking them to place sanctions on the federations of Russia and Belarus, following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Alongside our friends and partners in Europe and around the world, we at IHUK stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Ukraine, in wholly and steadfastly condemning Russia’s aggression towards the Ukraine.
Our thoughts are with the people of Ukraine at this very difficult time.
We understand the IIHF will be meeting today to discuss the situation, and we await with interest the outcome of this meeting.
