British forward Lewis Hook scored his second goal of the tournament as Nottingham Panthers came from behind three times to beat Manchester Storm 4-3 after overtime in the Elite Series.

GB international Josh Batch got one of the assists on the opening goal of the night – scored by Scott Simmonds after only 89 seconds (1:29) – to give the Storm a first-period lead.

Panthers drew level in the second session as Nick Dineen tipped in Mark Matheson’s shot on the powerplay (27:49), before Ben Lake and Joe Hazeldine created the chance for Martin Gran to put away a rebound (32:33).

Johno May reacted first to a loose puck after Matheson’s shot was saved at 40:35 (powerplay) for Nottingham’s second equaliser, but the Storm regained their lead when Maxime Fortier scored on the rebound after Jackson Whistle saved Batch’s shot (47:08).

Hook’s one-time shot after a face-off win by Jordan Kelsall drew the Panthers level for a third time (55:14) and they won it in the extra period when Austin Cangelosi set-up Christophe Boivin in the slot (63:14).
