Great Britain forward Lewis Hook says he is excited to play for his country in his home rink as GB take on Lithuania twice this weekend.
The two sides meet on Saturday (7pm) at Planet Ice in Milton Keynes, the home of his domestic club MK Lightning.
They then go head-to-head on Sunday in Coventry’s Skydome Arena (5:15pm).
Hook is part of a 28-man squad currently undergoing a training camp in Coventry with two on-ice sessions a day.
The squad will be cut to a final 23-man roster who will represent GB at next week’s World Championship Division I Group A in Budapest.
“It is always an honour to pull on a Great Britain shirt,” said Hook. “But to do it in my home rink will really be special.
“We always get great support in Milton Keynes and I am sure there will be a good crowd on Saturday.”
Hook, who has 15 under-18 and 14 under-20 caps to his name, is yet to make the men’s squad for a World Championship.
“I would love to be in that squad of 23 for Budapest next week,” continued Hook.
“There is a great spirit at training camp and there will be a real battle for a place on the plane.
“I just need to get my head down and prove to the coach I am worthy of selection.”
