Captain Katie Henry says there is the belief in the dressing room that Great Britain Women can reach the next stage of the Olympic qualification in Astana.

GB know if they beat Kazakhstan by two goals tomorrow they will guarantee progression from Preliminary Qualifying Round 2.

“We have a good spirit in the room and we believe we can do this,” said Henry.

“But Kazakhstan will be a hard and fast-paced team. They are a top team and we know it will be difficult.

“If we play our own game I reckon we can beat them.”

GB Women have never qualified for an Olympic Games and Henry says just playing in the qualifiers is something to be proud of.

“It sends a shiver down your spine when someone mentions the word Olympics,” she continued.

“We have a goal as a team, not just for this event, but for the Worlds next year in Korea.

“We have bonded as a team and we are excited about tomorrow’s game.”
