Great Britain have added defenceman Joe Hazeldine and forward Ross Venus to their training camp in Coventry.

The one-week camp at the Skydome forms part of GB’s preparation for the World Championship in Finland.

GB will play four international matches in the next seven days.

Head Coach, Pete Russell, said: “These games are really important preparation but it’s important to manage ice-time.

“We felt it would be wise to add a couple of players to the training camp squad to give us to give us some additional flexibility.

“Ross knows all about being involved with GB and for Joe, it’s a great opportunity for him to get some experience at this level.”

After facing Italy in Milton Keynes on Thursday 5th May, GB will meet Denmark in Coventry on Saturday 7th May and also in Nottingham on Sunday 8th May.

The final UK international game takes place against Italy in Coventry on Tuesday 10th May.

GB will then depart on Wednesday to Finland to their base in Tampere ahead of the World Championship.
