Ben O’Connor’s overtime goal secured Great Britain a 3-2 victory over Poland at the Skydome.
It was the second of two international matches between the two sides this weekend.
Poland had taken the honours on Saturday night with a winner 11 seconds from the end of overtime at the National Ice Centre.
GB took the lead at the Skydome through Robert Farmer (13:40) as he scored his second goal of the weekend when he fired a backhand shot into the corner.
Poland levelled in the second period at 37:57 through Mikolaj Lopuski’s close-range finish after a goalmouth scramble.
Mateusz Bepierszcz’s powerplay backhand finish high past Stevie Lyle put Poland ahead at 51:16, before Jonathan Weaver’s strike from the blueline on the powerplay (56:50) took the game to overtime.
And it was another powerplay goal that won the game as O’Connor went high on Kamil Kasowski to win the game at 62:57.
Coach, Pete Russell, said: “I thought we were very tight as a team and worked well defensively.
“We had a good two games and I am especially pleased with tonight.
“Poland are from the division above and it was a great to get two intense games with such a big week coming up.
“We have taken a lot from the games, as we did last year, and now we will undergo our final preparations for Zagreb.”
