Ice Hockey UK have confirmed Graeme Houston as the new team manager of Great Britain Under-16s.

Houston has played an important role in Scottish junior ice hockey and has been junior chairman for the SIHA for the past three years.

He has also held the roles of chairman, vice-chairman and manager of Solway Sharks.

“To be asked to manage this team is a great privilege,” said Houston.

“I am looking forward to the challenge of working with IHUK and such a talented set of players.”

GB programme board chairman, David Hand, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Graeme as a new manager of the under-16s.

“He has been very involved in junior ice hockey in Scotland for a number of years now.

“I have no doubt he will do a fantastic job within the Great Britain programme.”
