Ice Hockey UK would like to send our best wishes to official Lee Young, who suffered an injury in last night’s Elite Series match between Coventry Blaze and Manchester Storm at the National Ice Centre in Nottingham.
Young was taken to hospital in Nottingham and it was revealed he had suffered ankle and leg fractures.
He told the Elite League website: “I would like to thank all of the teams, officials, coaches and players who have sent me messages wishing me a speedy recovery and, of course, a huge thanks to the team physios and on-duty medical staff who treated me at the rink – and those at the hospital for looking after me.
“While I’m unable to respond to every message, I’m grateful for everyone’s support and I look forward to seeing you all next season.”
We are all thinking of you Lee. All the best in your recovery and hope to see you back on the ice soon.
