The BUIHA are currently looking for eligible players looking to compete in 2021 FISU World University Games (WUGs) in Lucerne, Switzerland. The World University Games is renowned globally as being second only to the Olympic Winter Games.

In preparation for the games, players are expected to attend regular training camps which consist of on- and off-ice activities, led by highly qualified and experienced staff. In addition, there will be five warm up games for both the men and women.

All training camps take place on a Wednesday at Ice Sheffield. The Provisional dates for 2019/20 are:
Wednesday 16th October
Wednesday 4th December
Wednesday 8th January

Furthermore, the BUIHA look to continue to grow their ambitions by rolling out a 2-year programme through the introduction of a ‘prospects’ pool, with young players who have aspirations of going to university alongside their hockey career.
