Great Britain Women’s alternate captain Jodie Bloom might not be playing hockey at the moment, but she’s busy being a key worker in her local community.

Bloom, who features in a special EIHA video (see below), play a vital role at a school in Nottingham.

“I am a keyworker as I work as a teaching assistant at Ash Lea Special School in Nottingham,” said Bloom.

“Me and my work colleagues are currently working full time, including weekends and school holidays, to support the children of other key workers and also vulnerable children during this time.

“As I work with children who have complex learning difficulties, social distancing is very hard for us, but our staff are going above and beyond to support our children in the best way possible for them and I am so proud to be a part of an amazing school.”

To all front line workers – wherever you are on the front line, whatever you’re doing to keep us safe. Thank you!
