Great Britain Under-18s Women have named a squad of 22 for next week’s trip to Budapest for a four-team international tournament.

GB will face Hungary U18 Women, as well as Poland U18 Women and Spain Women, from Tuesday 4th to Thursday 6th October 2016.

It is the second year of the tournament after Spain Women won the inaugural event in Ice Sheffield last season.

Coach, Cheryl Smith, said: “There was a lot of competition for places, which shows the women’s programme is very healthy at the moment.

“Obviously there are a lot of new faces from last year’s tournament and the World Championship in Austria.

“We have so much exciting young talent coming through the system at the moment.

“This will be excellent preparation for the squad to play in a competitive environment and some will be doing it for the first time.

“We will learn a lot about the squad and it is good preparation for January’s World Championship.”
