Great Britain Under-16s have announced their captain and assistants for the upcoming international tournament in Madrid.

Liam Redwood (Nottingham) will captain the side, with Jordan Buesa (Toronto Titans) and Finlay Ulrick (Sheffield) named as assistants.

Head coach, Rob Wilkinson, said “All three players have been having great seasons for their club sides.

“They will provide outstanding leadership throughout the tournament.”

The U16s will have two challenge matches prior to the start of the tournament, with the first against German side Mannheim tonight (Thursday).

The GB youngsters will come up against hosts Spain, as well as France, Germany, Poland and Hungary in the tournament.
