Great Britain Under-16s have named their captaincy team for this week’s Riga Hockey Cup in Latvia.

Sam Keeling will captain the side with Archie Salisbury and Gregor Mills appointed alternate captains.

Head Coach, Jamie Elson, said: “It’s always great to get to announce your leadership group.

“These three are guys that lead with their play and work rate on the ice, as well as their off-ice work and conduct.

“They are players that – as a coaching coaching team – we can speak to and lean on to help us gauge the group and what’s needed.

“We know they will wear the letters with pride and are excited to see them lead when we hit the ice for our opening games.”

The 14-team tournament is split into two groups of seven, with GB facing Gelezinis Vilkas, Ogre, Poland U16s, Baltu Vilki, Frisk Asker and Jelgavas LSS across Friday and Saturday, with placing and medal games on Sunday.

We are pleased to announce that IHUK have purchased a facility delivered by the event organisers so that a live webstream will be provided for families and fans who are unable to make it over to the tournament. Links will be posted on social media daily.
