Great Britain may not have taken to the ice today but they had a busy day off the ice as they embedded themselves in the local community in Michalovce.

GB spent the morning at a local primary school and took part in an English lesson, while they also watched a gymnastics performance.

The schoolchildren were given the chance to get a team photo signed by all the players.

But this wasn’t any team photo, it was Dean Woolley’s now famous picture of the roster lined up at the National Anthem after clinching gold and promotion in Budapest last year.

In the afternoon, there was a visit to meet the Mayor of Michalovce and Andy Garth who is the UK ambassador to Slovakia.

There was then a special reception for the team at Lake Zemplinska Sirava.
