Great Britain’s games against Canada and Kazakhstan have been cancelled because of the worldwide situation with the coronavirus.

GB were set to face Kazakhstan in Milton Keynes on Sunday 3rd May, followed by the sold-out match with Canada at Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena on Tuesday 5th May.

Ice Hockey UK general secretary, Andy French, said: “It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce the cancellation of both of these games.

“Both were set to be fantastic occasions, especially welcoming Canada to the UK and we know how disappointed people will be.

“But sport is not important right now. Everyone’s health is very much the most important thing. I urge everyone to keep safe right now and take care of one another.”
