As part of his lead role in the English Ice Hockey Association’s (EIHA) Coach and Education Programme, Great Britain Head Coach Pete Russell has started the process of selecting coaching staff.

The EIHA announced earlier this month that Russell would take up the new role to “help shift the EIHA towards an athlete-centred development programme by creating a best-in-class education and coaching system to support improvements at all levels of coaching”.

The EIHA have just announced the formation of a new England under-23 men’s team. Their first games are set to be in December following an agreement reached with the Danish federation to bring an U23 team to the UK to face England in two games.

The English Ice Hockey Association have also announced plans for a women’s under-19s team.
