Forward Liam Stewart say the bond in the Great Britain dressing room is very special as they reach the first rest day of the World Championship Division 1 Group B in Belfast with a 100% record.

Stewart scored his first international goal in last night’s 5-1 victory over Estonia, as GB made it two wins from two following Sunday’s 4-2 win over Croatia.

“It felt pretty good to get that one in the second period,” said Stewart. “It was a really special moment.”

The 22-year-old Coventry Blaze forward is playing for GB Men for the first time and it’s an experience he is really enjoying.

“It is a veteran group and they are really welcoming,” continued Stewart.

“It is a good group of guys and the bond in the room is awesome.”

There are no games in the tournament today but GB will train this afternoon, before taking on Lithuania tomorrow at 7:30pm.

“We have many positives to take from the game against Estonia and we now need to build on them for Lithuania,” said Stewart.

“If we play our best and do what we need to do, then we will be OK.”
