Great Britain meet Switzerland in their final Group A game in the World Championship in Latvia today.

GB – in seventh – have four points from six matches so far, including a 4-3 victory over Belarus and a 3-2 overtime defeat by Denmark.

Switzerland sit second in the group going into the final day of round-robin matches, with 12 points from six games.

They have already secured their place in their knockout stages, but their exact finishing position in the top four is currently unknown.

One of the surprises in Group A so far has been in the elimination of Sweden who now can’t reach the quarter-finals after they lost to Russia on penalty shots last night.

Head-to-head
The two sides have met 19 times since 1910 with Switzerland winning 13, GB four and there have been three draws.

The most recent meeting came in 1997 in Pool B with Switzerland winning 3-2 in Poland.
