Liam Kirk scored his first GB goal yesterday in their 7-1 defeat by Russia, Ben Bowns won his 50th cap and there were debuts for David Clements, Lewis Hook and Josh Tetlow.

Slovakia began their Group A campaign on Friday with a 5-2 victory over Belarus with Kristian Pospisil scoring twice.

Great Britain captain Jonathan Phillips is set to win his 99th cap today, one shy of becoming the third player after Ashely Tait (110) and David Longstaff (101) to reach the century mark.
