Lucas, Ice Hockey UK and UK Allstars would like to thank everybody who placed a bid on the Lucas GB warm-up jersey auction.

Once again, the hockey community has shown its power and we are pleased to announce that £3,894.97 will be distributed by UK Allstars amongst their charities.

Standard Motor Products Europe, brand licencee for Lucas Engine Management, have been overwhelmed with the support shown for the auction and have matched the amount raised – bringing the total amount raised for UK Allstars to £7,800.

Managing director, Ross Toomey, said: “The ice hockey fans have shown amazing commitment by putting their hands in their pocket, not only in support of Great Britain but also the amazing charities that UK Allstars supports every year.

“We want to match this commitment alongside them.”

Andy French, Ice Hockey UK general secretary, said: “What an amazing response from UK ice hockey supporters bidding on the unique GB warm-up jerseys.

“When they were designed we thought they would be some special with the striking Lucas green.

“I would just like to underline the fantastic support from Lucas with this auction, backed up by the amazing donation from them to take the fundraising to a brilliant total.”

James Pepper, from UK Allstars, said: “The UK Charity Allstars can’t thank you enough for this fantastic gesture.

“The auctioning of the GB ice hockey team warm-up jerseys for our charities combined with the generosity of Ross, Will and their colleagues at Standard Motor Products Europe have got this seasons fund raising off to a flying start.

“On behalf of our allstars and the Charities we represent, we would like to thank you all so much for making such a difference.”
