Great Britain Under-18 Women have made a change to their roster ahead of this week’s Four Nations challenge in Iceland.

Netminder Mali Easton will replace Kayla Poole who has had to withdraw because of injury.

The four-team tournament – involving GB, Poland, Spain and hosts Iceland – runs from Thursday 11th until Saturday 13th November.

It’s the sixth edition of the tournament with GB winning on home ice in Dumfries in 2019.

Head coach, James Ashton, said: “We were informed at the last camp that Kayla had sustained an injury. She was having treatment and a decision would be made closer to the time of travel.

“Our netminding coach Danny Milton has been in contact with Kayla and a decision was made that she was not ready to return to the ice.

“It’s extremely disappointing for Kayla. The coaching staff would like to thank her and her parents for working closely with us. We wish her a speedy recovery.

“We are excited to call-up Mali to the roster. She is a quality netminder and I am sure she will fit perfectly into our group.”

GB U18 Women leave the UK on Wednesday morning for their first tournament since the World Championship in Katowice, Poland in January 2020.
