Great Britain youngsters Cade Neilson and Sam Duggan recently attended prestigious USHL camps in North America.

The highly-rated teenagers impressed numerous scouts last week and could be set for offers to play in junior leagues next season.

Duggan, who has spent the last four seasons with Swedish junior side Orebro, scored nine points for Great Britain U20s last season.

Neilson, who has been part of the Ontario Hockey Academy since 2014, helped GB Under-18s to promotion, scoring two goals and four assists as part of the gold medal-winning squad.

Young Neilson made the cut and played in prospect games in Omaha and Green Bay- and also impressed scouts in Iowa.

The 17-year-old looks set to be offered a place in the NAHL – the second-tier junior league in North America.

“Going to these camps was a great experience and something I really enjoyed,” said Neilson.

“I felt I did well and I am hopeful of a place in one of the junior leagues next season.”

Duggan, 19, also attended the camp in Omaha, before heading off to another camp in Lincoln.
