Great Britain forward Robert Dowd will miss today’s game with Lithuania after being admitted to hospital with abdominal pains.

Dowd reported feeling unwell yesterday and was taken to hospital by the GB medical staff for some precautionary tests.

GB doctor, Matt Robbins, said: “Robert is in good spirits and we are keeping a close eye on him.

“We are expecting him out of hospital shortly.

“We would like to thank the Croatia medical staff for their help and assistance in this matter.”

Dowd has scored two goals in two matches at the World Championship (Division 1B) tournament in Zagreb, including Monday’s overtime winner against Estonia.
