Great Britain forward Robert Dowd says everyone is focused with the start of the World Championship in Zagreb only one day away.

GB arrived in Croatia on Thursday and had two on-ice training sessions yesterday and will return to the ice at lunchtime today (Saturday).

Hosts Croatia are GB’s first opponents tomorrow, when the two sides go head-to-head at the Dom Sportova Arena.

Dowd said: “We are full of energy and everyone is focused.

“As I said before, as much as ice as we can get together as a team the better.

“The more you are going to gel with guys, the more everything is going to come natural to you.

“Practice in Coventry was one thing but once you get to the actual ice pad you are going to play the games on, it is nice to get used to it.

“You feel how the ice is and get used to the bumps of the boards.
