Estonia picked up their first win in Division 1 Group B of the World Championship as they beat Croatia 4-3 at the SSE Arena in Belfast.

The win moves Estonia onto three points in what was the first one-goal game of the tournament.

Estonia went ahead with a powerplay one-timer from the left circle by Andrei Makrov (5:04).

Mislav Blagus levelled for Croatia on the powerplay at 22:08 before Estonia 3-1 went in front with goals from Robert Rooba (26:45) and Aleksei Sibirtsev (28:06).

Croatia levelled the game at three at the end of the second period thanks to goals by Dominik Kanaet at 30:25 and Borna Rendulic at 38:01 (powerplay).

Markov broke away to his second of the afternoon at 40:23 which turned out to be the game-winning goal.

The final game of the day sees hosts GB take on Netherlands at 7:30pm.
