Lithuania won the bronze medal in the World Championship Division 1 Group B as they beat Croatia 3-1 in the SSE Arena.

It means a fourth successive third-placed finish for Lithuania after bronze medals in 2014 on home ice, 2015 in Netherlands and 2016 in Croatia.

Croatia took the lead when Luka Mikulic scored on the wraparound at 10:18.

Mindaugas Kieras ensured the game was level at one at the first intermission with a one-timer top shelf (16:41).

Edgar Protcenko’s shot through traffic put Lithuania ahead in the second period (24:23) and Ugnius Cizas made it 3-1  at 45:13 to secure the bronze medal.

Croatia’s place in Division 1 Group B was already secured no matter what happens in today’s second game between Estonia and Netherlands.
