Great Britain netminder Ben Bowns will link-up with the England National Team Programme (ENTP) camp in Cardiff next week to lend his experience and speak with the camp’s goalies.

Ice Hockey’s National Talent Identification Officer Mark Beggs will also be part of the camp.

Bowns helped GB to back-to-back World Championship gold medals, which means the national side will play in the top level of world ice hockey next year for the first time since 1994.

ENTP lead goalie coach, Euan King, said: “Ben has kindly agreed to provide a presentation to the goalies on the Sunday on his experiences with the GB national team, the EIHL, what it took for him to get there and what he has to do to stay on top of his game.

“After his presentation, Ben will do a little Q&A with the goalies. This will be a valuable presentation for our candidates and will provide them with a real insight into what it takes to make it professionally as a British goalie.”

The time slots for these presentations are as follows:
U15s 8:45am – 9:15am
U13s 9:30am – 10am
U14s 10:45am – 11:15am

ENTP would like to thank Ben for agreeing to do this especially as he only arrives back in the UK on the Saturday from his pre-season training camp in Calgary.
