Great Britain Women’s player Jodie Bloom has become an official ambassador for McDonald’s in Nottingham.

Nottingham franchisee Jerry Nicholls, a long-time sponsor of Great Britain and Ice Hockey UK, has a number of ambassadors from a variety of sports across the city.

Jerry will also sponsor Jodie who was alternate captain in GB’s silver medal-winning World Championship squad in Dumfries earlier this year.

Nottingham-born Bloom played in her home town for the Vipers earlier in her career and currently ices for Solihull in the top flight of women’s ice hockey.

The 24-year-old also played for Coventry Blaze in NIHL2 last season.

Nicholls said: “I like to support local athletes and one of my big passions is ice hockey.

“Jodie is an exceptional young athlete and I proud to be linking up with her.”

Bloom added: “It is great to be able to link up with Jerry and McDonald’s.

“I would like to thank him for his support and sponsorship which will be of great help to me in the coming season.”
