Former Great Britain forward Paul Adey says GB’s puck movement was excellent in their 4-1 victory over Croatia on Sunday night.

Robert Dowd, Jonathan Weaver, Craig Peacock and Colin Shields all scored as GB began their Division 1B campaign with a win against the hosts.

Adey told Ice Hockey UK Radio: “I thought they played a great game.

“I thought defensively they were very sound and didn’t give up many chances five on five.

“They moved the puck really well. There was a lot of quick passing.

“They worked together really well. It was a really good team effort and I was really impressed with them.

“It was fantastic result.”

Adey is out in Croatia commentating on Premier Sports.

GB’s next game is this afternoon against Estonia which gets under way at 4:30pm (3:30pm UK time).
