One of the key members of Great Britain’s off-ice staff was presented with a 75th cap ahead of tonight’s game with Austria in the World Championship in Tampere.
Sports Rehabilitator Nikki Sherlock – one of the unsung heroes of the GB team – was first part of the off-ice team in the 2008 World Championship Division 1 Group B in Innsbruck.
GB General Manager, Andy Buxton, said: “Congratulations to the fantastic Nikki Sherlock.
“She has patched up, repaired or treated hundreds of GB players during her 75-cap service to the team.
“She has been a major part of all we have achieved.”
Nikki was presented with a special 75th cap by Ice Hockey UK General Secretary Andy French in the locker room this evening.
