FIRST COMPETITIVE ACTION FOR TAMPERE DECK ARENA

Great Britain’s home for the 2022 World Championship in Finland saw its first competitive action at the weekend with a game in the Finnish top flight.

The newly-built 13,500-seater Tampere Deck Arena saw local rivals Tappara and Ilves go head-to-head in-front of a sold-out crowd.

In May, GB will be playing for a third successive season in the top flight and will face Belarus, Czech Republic, Finland, Latvia, Norway, Sweden and the USA in Group B.

The arena has been built on top of the railway tracks next to the central station, making it easy to access by train. The official fan zone will be located next to the Tampere railway station.
