Great Britain Women have made a change to their roster for next month’s Olympic Qualifiers in Nottingham with Abbie Culshaw replacing Chloe Headland, who has had to withdraw from the squad.
Culshaw made her GB debut in the 2018 World Championship Division II Group A in Slovenia and has since won 10 international caps.
The 23-year-old scored her first international goal against Slovenia in the 2019 tournament in Dumfries.
Head coach, Mike Clancy, said: “It is a real shame to lose Chloe. She is a terrific player and we will miss her for sure.
“But there is so much depth in this squad and Abbie is a superb call-up to the roster.
“She already has international experience and was unlucky to miss out in the first instance. Abbie will be a great addition to the squad.”
GB begin their bid to reach the 2022 Winter Olympics in China in the four-team tournament at the National Ice Centre from 7th to 10th October, which also involves Korea, Slovenia and Iceland.
The group winners will qualify for November’s Final Qualification tournament for next year’s Winter Olympics in China.
All tickets will cost just £6.50 each (including fees), with under-16s free with every paying adult (maximum two per person). Please ensure you add your under-16s ticket(s) when making your booking.
Great Britain Supporters Club members are asked to book block 17, which will be the designated noisy block. Anyone who attends is advised to wear a mask when moving around the building.
Tickets are available via the Motorpoint Arena website or by calling 0843 373 3000.
