GB MEN AND WOMEN TAKE PART IN BALL HOCKEY WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

Great Britain have been taking part in the Ball Hockey World Championship at the Steel Arena in Kosice – the same venue for GB Men’s memorable campaign in the World Championship last month.

GB Women may have lost all four matches but produced spirited performances against the USA, Czech Republic, Canada and hosts Slovakia in their five-team group.

The roster includes a number of players who have been involved in the GB Women’s programme, including Sam Bolwell, Abbie Culshaw and Steph Towns who won the silver medal at this year’s ice hockey World Championship Division II Group A in Dumfries.

Likewise, GB Men have produced a number of battling performances but have been beaten by Czech Republic, Slovakia and the USA.

They play their final game tomorrow (Tuesday) against Finland. You can find a live webcast on this link and finding the GB Finland fixture.
