GB TO REPORT FOR TRAINING CAMP THIS EVENING

Great Britain’s most important training camp for a generation gets under way today as the players report to the Skydome in Coventry.

GB will take to the ice this evening for their first session together as they begin preparations for the World Championship in Slovakia next month.

Sam Duggan and Paul Swindlehurst were added to the squad on Monday, while there are first GB call-ups for Joey Lewis and Josh Tetlow.

Unfortunately, Brendan Connolly and Mark Garside have had to withdraw from the squad.

Head coach, Pete Russell, said: “It is a shame to lose two fantastic players and they will be missed.

“Both have great attributes and, like all the players, had a real shout of getting in the final 25.

“But we have a deep squad and competition for places will be intense during the next few days.”

Tickets are currently on sale for all four of GB’s warm-up games taking place in the next two weeks.

Supporters are able to purchase tickets for GB’s matches with Italy on Friday 19th April at the Skydome in Coventry (7:30pm) and against Hungary at Planet Ice Milton Keynes on Sunday 21st Hungary (2pm).

Tickets are also available for the clash between Hungary and Italy at the Skydome on Saturday 20th April (7pm).

In addition, tickets are available for GB’s match with KHL side Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod at the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham on Saturday 27th April (7pm) and for the clash between the two sides at Fly DSA Arena Sheffield on Sunday 28th April (4pm).
