VICTORY FOR GB U18 WOMEN
Great Britain Under-18 Women have beaten Slovakia 4-1 in the World Championship (Division 1) in Norway.
It was a fantastic peformance as the youngsters claimed their first victory of the tournament.
GB took the lead at 2:20 through Paige Henry (Solihull Vixens) on the powerplay and she doubled the advantage at 12:20.
Katherine Gale (Bracknell Queen Bees) scored GB's third at 34:21 for a three-goal lead after two periods.
Shannon Jones (Kingston Diamonds) netted goal number four (45:12), while Petronela Novotna pulled one back for Slovakia at 50:15.
